With a penchant for vintage analogue gear and all the warmth it brings, coupled with an attitude equipped for the innovation of the digital world ARIA nominated producer, mixer, songwriter and string arranger Tony Buchen has amassed an enviable list of credits over the last decade making him one of the go-to producers in Australia, regularly called upon by indie artists and major labels alike to bring their recordings to life.
After working in Los Angeles on and off for years Tony has recently relocated to the city and is now based out of his own studio at Kingsize Soundlabs new facility in NE LA.
In recent times Tony has been at the production helm of many significant emerging Australian artists such as The Preatures, Spookyland, Asta, Mansionair and Montaigne, as well as US based artists The Silver Lake Chorus, The Falls and world renowned string quartet Fourplay’s latest project with acclaimed UK author Neil Gaiman.
Tony was recently nominated as Producer of the Year at the 2016 ARIA Awards (Australia’s Grammy Awards).

MONTAIGNE’s GLORIOUS HEIGHTS NAMED TRIPLE J FEATURE ALBUM AND NO 3 ON ARIA CHARTS
MONTAIGNE‘s debut album Glorious Heights co-written, produced and mixed by Tony has been given the prestigious honour of being named Triple J radio’s Feature Album for the week of its release. The album also peaked at No. 3 on Australia’s ARIA Album Chart.

TONY RECEIVES ARIA NOMINATION FOR PRODUCER OF THE YEAR
Tony has been nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2016 ARIA Awards for his work with Montaigne on her debut album Glorious Heights (Wonderlick/Sony). Tony is in some esteemed company with co-nominees including Robbie Charter and Tony Di Blasi (The Avalanches) and Harley Streten (Flume).
